Make Your Own Cute and Colourful Halloween Treat Bags

Hello everyone! Thanksgiving (in Canada) is just around the corner and Halloween is fast approaching too. Personally, I’m not a huge Halloween person but when I found these cute print and cut labels from the Silhouette online store, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with them.

Here are some colourful Halloween Treat Bags that I made.

Make Your Own Halloween Treat Bags

If  there is one thing I do like about Halloween, it’s definitely the treats!  Bahahaha!

Tools & Materials

1. Start by opening a new file in Silhouette Studio. Choose letter size paper setting and turn on the registration marks. Go to My Library —-> Open the two print and cut files by Kristen Magee. Arrange the files as you like. I like the offset sticker look so I created my own offset cut lines and deleted the original ones that come with the file. If you like the print and cut files as they are then you are good to go. You do not need to resize the print and cute files.

2. Print and cut the Halloween treat bag labels  on Silhouette Printable White Sticker paper.

3. Open a new file. Choose the 12 x 12 paper setting. Go to My Library —–>Open the Lori Whitlock 3D Tall Treat Bag file.

4. Print and cut the treat bag on patterned paper such as the Echo Park Here and Now collection which happens to compliment the colours of the Halloween labels quite nicely. For a more simple look I would suggest using lightweight kraft cardstock or Silhouette chipboard.

5. Attach the labels before putting together the bags. The bags are really easy to fold and glue together.

6. Fill with your favourite Halloween treat. I was thinking of making Almond Roca.

Halloween Treat Bags made with Silhouette Cameo

Pretty simple but cute and different from the typical Halloween themed treat bags or boxes.

Colourful Halloween Treat Bags Silhouette Cameo

Silhouette Cameo Halloween Treat BagsI really wanted to make my treat bags colourful and a bit girly. After all, I do have three girls and I like pretty things. That being said, I think that the labels would also look cool against some fun Halloween scrapbook paper such as this 12 x 12 pack.

Before I sign off, I want to mention that the Silhouette Cameo is on sale at Scrapbooks by Design. If you don’t have a digital cutter and want to invest in one, now is a good time to shop. The Portrait is also on sale and at $159, it’s a bit more affordable than the Cameo (smaller and easier to store too!).

Until next time…Happy Crafting!
