Circle Cards!

Hi everyone!  Meghan here to inspire you to change up the shape of your cards.  I love circular cards.  They just look different and are fun to give and receive.

The store has some great Lawn Fawn and Echo Park products to create this card!  Check out the Circle Stackables dies and the Admit One stamp set  and Admit One Lawn Cuts.

I die cut circles of different sizes from Echo Park’s Bundle of Joy 6×6 paper pad.  The papers in this pad go so well together and they are most definitely not just for baby cards.  Try looking at your themed paper pads in a different light.  Certainly, there are some great baby girl themed papers to create baby cards but there are also some neutral papers that can be used for just about any card.

I tried stamping with Memento Dark Cocoa ink instead of Tuxedo Black to coordinate with the brown tone of the papers.  A little colour with Copics or Spectrum Noir markers and you have a fun main image.  There are many different sentiments that would go with this card.  I chose a thank you sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Home Sweet Home set but a “welcome baby” sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Critters Down Under.

Here is the same card with a birthday sentiment:

I used the lion stamp from Critters on the Savanna with the coordinating Lawn Cuts.  The sentiment is from Good Fortune.

Circular cards can be difficult to stand up but there is a quick, painless fix.  I shave off a small slice from the bottom of the card backing.  I like to place the completed card on my paper trimmer and line up the sides of the card with the top rail to be sure I’m getting the flat base positioned correctly.  This way the front remains circular and the card stands up!

I’d love to see your take on circular cards!
